Free Programs from Gepeto Software
Note: The programs on this page are "freeware". That means that they are available free of charge for non-commercial use and cannot be distributed for profit or altered in any way. Many of these programs were created by me to test a programming technique or try an idea and may not have been originally intended for public release. They have not gone through the rigorous testing procedures that my commercial programs have been through and are distributed here without warranty. Still, I hope you find them helpful and enjoyable. WhiteBoard Timer (Freeware) |
| WhiteBoard Timer is simply an easy-to-use, full-screen timer designed to work with the computer image projected in front of the class on an interactive whiteboard. However, the program would work just as effectively projected on a wall or screen using a normal video projector or even on a television using a scan converter. Counts up or counts down with a nice, big, easy-to-read font. Great for timing an activity or testing session. |

| WhiteBoard HangMan is a teaching tool to allow vocabulary review in a whole-class setting. Specifically, the program was designed to work with the computer image projected in front of the class on an interactive whiteboard. However, the program would work just as effectively projected on a wall or screen using a normal video projector or even on a television using a scan converter. Basically, it's a vocabulary teaching tool and how it is used is limited only by the teacher's imagination. |

Vocab List Import Tool (Freeware-- Requires registered copy of one of the ActivityMaker or Vocab-Arcade) |
| The Vocab List Import Tool will let you import vocabulary lists to use for ActivityMaker (Volume 1, 2, or 3) or Vocab-Arcade. You can import lists from any word processing document or download thousands of free word lists from the internet in the popular ".puz" format used to publish crosswords from major publications. |

| When my daughter was 3 years old, I looked for software that would be easy enough for her to use and let her be creative at the same time. Many of the programs I found ended up being too complex. I created GepetoDraw from scratch, giving her easy access to some neat drawing tools and special effects while being easy to use. She loved it! As a lark, I loaded the software on the network at my Middle School as well, and (to my surprise), the kids loved it too! | ||
